Non-School leavers

If you are a non-school leaver (what we call mature age, that is, if you're 19 years or older by 1 March in the year you plan to study) this website has lots of useful information. Here are some of the most popular pages:

Left school but not mature aged

If you've left school but aren't considered mature age, you can still get started on your learning pathway. There are courses which lead into in the course of your choice and which help you meet the minimum entrance requirements.

Contact the Career Centre on 13 23 98 or an information officer at your nearest TAFEWA college.

For further information on completing a TAFEWA access qualification (like the Certificate of General Education for Adults) or on getting back into secondary studies, perhaps at a senior campus, it is recommended that you speak with staff at the Career Centre on 13 23 98 or a TAFEWA college information officer.

Mature age study options

The traditional employment system is changing rapidly. It is important to continually upgrade your skills to be successful in gaining and remaining in employment. With more than 50 locations across the state, flexible study options and a wide range of qualifications, TAFEWA is ideally suited for adult study. Do you want a starter qualification to get you back into a ‘studying’ frame of mind?
